The Observation Care is the premier national event for mastering topics surrounding observation medicine. Designed for hospital leaders and clinicians alike and organized by national experts in observation care, this home-study course will cover the most critical issues and best practices for implementation, staffing, and management of an effective observation unit.
Observation Care will include topics on integrated acute care, including transitions of care from the emergency department to observation medicine to inpatient floors to post-acute skilled nursing care programs.

Meet the Faculty
Troy Meyers, MD, FACEP
Board Certified emergency medicine physician and is the National Director of Observation Services for US Acute Care Solution. He’s been with USACS since 2017. He completed residency in the Virginia Commonwealth University System and completed an internship at the Naval Medical Center. He graduated from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in 2001.
Robbin Dick, MD
Emergency Medicine physician and trained in Internal Medicine. He developed the first recognize observation unit in NY State to improve ED efficiency and implemented and managed an observation unit for the Univ. of Rochester Emergency Department. He was the Director of Observation Services for Medical Emergency Professionals in Maryland from 2012 to 2015. When the company merged with USACS in 2016, he served as Chief of Observation Services until 2018. USACS, currently, has over 15 Observation units with over 70,000 encounters yearly and is the largest Observation program in the US. He now provides consultative services in Observation Medicine & Hospital Capacity Management
Michael Cetta, MD, FACEP, FACHE
Board-certified Emergency Physician, Hyperbaric Physician and Executive Vice President for USACS. Dr. Cetta has served as the Chairman of Emergency Medicine in three departments, including the first freestanding emergency department in the state of Maryland located in Germantown. Dr. Cetta was a senior partner at MEP from 2003 until the company merged with USACS in 2016. In his role he led business development, expanding MEP to 10 contracts and 500,000 patient encounters/year across three service lines (EM, observation medicine and skilled nursing.) He designed a cloud based EMR still used today for documentation in the skilled nursing practice. In January of 2016 MEP merged with USACS as a founding partner group. Dr. Cetta’s primary role with USACS was to oversee growth and service line expansion of Integrated Acute Care (IAC). In his current role as Executive Vice President Dr. Cetta focuses on the growth of USACS through both organic and M&A opportunities.
Tracie Vock, MBA, MS, PA-C
Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) in 2002. In 2007, she graduated with her Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Wayne State University in Detroit and more recently completed her MBA with a concentration in Healthcare Management at Walsh University in 2021. A practicing clinician for the last 15 years, Tracie has worked in hospital medicine and observation services and has been employed by, and grown with, US Acute Care Solutions for the last ten years. Progressing from a Lead APP in observation in 2013, she has served roles as the Director of APPs for observation, hospital medicine and critical care and recently expanded her role to become a Director of Clinical Operations for Integrated Acute Care at USACS. She has implemented over ten dedicated observation units throughout the country, assists in operational oversight of a national observation service line, and works tirelessly to develop material to educate and support the APPs practicing in multiple service lines. She is a graduate of Vistage Leadership Academy and the USACS Scholars program.
Jason Wong, MD
Practicing emergency medicine physician at AHN Jefferson Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He presently serves at the Medical Director of the Clinical Decision Unit as well as Emergency Department Quality Director. His professional interests include observation medicine, clinical pathway design, quality improvement, and cultural transformation.
Michael Granovsky, MD
President of Logix Health, a national ED coding and billing company processing over 13,000,000 annual encounters. Following completion of his Emergency Medicine residency. Dr. Granovsky went on to found Greater Washington Emergency Physicians, serving as the Chief Financial Officer. Dr. Granovsky serves as the Director of the American College of Emergency Physicians Reimbursement course. He is the reimbursement subject matter expert to multiple task forces including episodes of care, alternative payment models, and Fair Payment coalition. A nationally recognized expert Dr. Granovsky has been honored with numerous awards including ACEP Speaker of The Year.
